I had to create my own probability quilt. This is what I used, a dice, ruler, pencil, maths book, and colour pencils. If you want to see the video of how to create your own probability quilt here is the Link I liked rolling the dice, writing the numbers, drawing the shapes and looking at the pattern.
Bye!
Talofa Josie,
ReplyDeleteI love your Probabiliy Quilt. It looks very colourful and creative. Well done for blogging about your maths homework. It's good that you added the link to the video Mr Riceman made. Adding the equipment for how to make it is a very good idea. The thing I 💗LOVE💗 the most is that smile you put on your face in the picture.
Incredible blogpost Josie. Make sure to keep on commenting on your classmates blogs. Keep that smile on your face and keep up the amazing effort.
Blog you later!!!
Thank you Rael.
DeleteHi Josie, wow what a great idea. Maths AND art! I like your choices of patterns too. I wonder if you could use this dice rolling idea for other things like writing poems or exercises. I might have a go. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteHi Josie, what an interesting maths/art activity. I'm glad that you enjoyed creating your quilt and what a good idea putting the link up so we could understand the activity.
ReplyDeleteWere you surprised that the first four numbers you rolled were the same? How many times have you tried this? It would be interesting to see how different your quilts would be if you did several of them.
Keep up the great work and remember to keep sharing your work.
It's awesome to see you enjoying the maths challenge so much, thank you for sharing your work. I love the patterns you've created by rolling the dice. I like Mrs Paterson's idea of trying this activity several times to see how the quilts would look different. Have you tried this? What was the most common number rolled in your pattern? The link is a great inclusion in your blog, so that other people can try this activity. Ka pai Josie! I wonder which will be your favourite activity this week?
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing kai pai to Me.
DeleteHi Josie. I am really glad you enjoyed this activity. When I found it, I thought it would be an interesting way to explore some of the things that we did in our classroom with dice and graphs. You should be very proud of the design you have created and then the explanations of the patterns you shared. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you had another go using the same symbols. Do you think your quilt would look the same?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
