Home Made Pies!
Kia ora bloggers. Me and my family made some home made pies.
1. My Dad and my Mum cooked the mince and my dad held a bowl down on the pastry and I cut around it and it made a circle.
2. My mum, sister, and my brother lined the ramekins with the pastry and all of us filled it with mince.
3. We put graded cheese on the mince and we put leftover mash potatoes on top of the cheese.
4. Then we all put all the graded cheese on top of the mashed potatoes. To me the home made pies were delicious and yummy. I am eating my second pie now. What have you been cooking at home?
That's great family team work Josie with everyone pitching in. By helping you learn some maths with quantities from measuring. Also learning how to follow instructions and do things in order. I bet you liked eating the end results. At my house we have been baking. We have made chocolate brownie, ginger slice & choc chip cookies. All very delicious but far too many sweet things. We need to get our walking so hopefully with nice weather for the next few days we can. I look forward to seeing more blogs about what you are up to.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Josie. Your pies look amazing. I’m sure they tasted so delicious! The steps are sequenced well and easy to follow. I like the Before and After pictures too. There are 10 pies and 5 in your family, so I know how many each of you got. I think you do too. I’m sure you shared evenly. Ka pai! I made red velvet cupcakes for my niece’s birthday. Then I had to eat one in our family Zoom meeting! I’ve promised to make her a plateful when we can meet again. Be happy and safe. Keep on blogging.
ReplyDeleteHi Josie. What a fantastic meal idea. My mouth is watering! It's a recipe that you could all take part in as well. That makes it a fabulous family lockdown activity. Thank you for sharing. I have some chicken in my fridge, and reading your blog has got me thinking about the possibility of me creating some chicken pies. I may just do that!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all doing well in your bubble and everyone is well.
Hi Josie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. The dad in my house loves pies! With Father’s Day coming up I might have to make him one! Both our daughters are in their own bubbles so they won’t be able to treat their Dad.....so it will be up to me. Thanks for your great post, it’s inspired me. The before and after photos are a fabulous idea too.
What are your plans for Father’s Day? We will all have to be very creative because we can’t go out or go shopping.
Hope all are well in your bubble,
Stay safe,
From Mrs Mackenzie 😎
